About this house sitting position in Colac

Hi there!

We’re offering our spacious 5-bedroom home on 5 acres on the outskirts (5 minutes into CBD) of Colac for a house sitter who loves a bit of country peace with other surrounding lifestyle blocks.

Our home has two comfortable living areas, plenty of space to relax, and a swimming pool to enjoy during your stay. It’s private, quiet and surrounded by open space — the perfect spot to unwind.

Your main role will be caring for our much-loved pets:

🐶 13-year-old Golden Retriever – gentle and easy going, requires tablets with each meal

🐶 8-year-old Cavoodle – very much the boss of the household and enjoys a daily walk

🐱 15-year-old cat – still healthy, mobile and happy doing her own thing

We have someone who takes care of the mowing and pool maintenance, so your focus will simply be keeping our pets' company and sticking to their routine and watering plants/gardens.

There’s plenty to see and do in the region, with the coast, lakes and beautiful countryside all within easy reach.

“We enjoyed every day we spent at Keri and Shane’s property in Colac. From the first meeting, they were warm and welcoming. They provided detailed instructions before we arrived and were helpful and quick to respond with clear communication while they were away, especially during the drama that evolved during recent bushfires nearby. Their home is very comfortable with stunning garden views towards Lake Colac. Bruno, Poppy and Roxy, their pets are the most enjoyable company and easy to care for. Colac has many interesting shops, cafes and restaurants and the local region is a delight to explore with walking and bike trails. We would not hesitate to return to house sit again if we were asked.”
