The Apartment

Perched on the sixth floor of a modern Smith Street building, this apartment puts you right in the heart of Melbourne's most creative pocket, with large windows that flood the space with light and frame sweeping views over Collingwood and Fitzroy's rooftops.

Sink into the leather couch and settle in for a movie night on the 75-inch TV, or head to the communal rooftop for a spa and even better views of the surrounding area.

The main bedroom offers the same large window views and air conditioning / heating, while the second room is used for a study.

Step outside and you're moments from Smith Street's best cafes, bars, and galleries, with Fitzroy and the Yarra River trails just a short stroll away.

The Local Area

Smith Street itself is dog-friendly along most of its cafe strip, useful for a coffee stop mid-walk. For proper leg-stretching, Victoria Park in Abbotsford (about a 10-15 minute walk) has a large fenced oval that's off-leash when there's no sport on. Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy North is a similar distance and has off-leash sections. The Yarra River trails near Dights Falls and the Collingwood Children's Farm/Abbotsford Convent precinct are a bit further but worth it for a longer outing, with river access if she likes to cool off in the water.

Luffy - My Newfoundland (Newfie)

Female, ~40kg 3 years old. She is a big fluffy bear and still just a big puppy at heart. If you'd like to look after her you need to take into account that she is still prone to pulling on the lead or getting excited when people come and ask to pat her (which will happen quite a lot).

She is hairy, when there is food she will drool! That's Newfies for you! So looking after her isn't for those looking for a super clean poodle mix experience.

At home, she is very relaxed and will happily sleep most of the working day after her morning walk. After work she will need another longer walk, then finally a quick toilet trip before you both head to bed for the night. We have a balcony but she has been trained to wait to head downstairs to go to the bathroom.
