We live on acreage with beautiful views in the Somerset Region about an hour from Brisbane.

There are supermarkets/shops nearby - Coominya (5 minutes), Lowood (15 minutes) and Fernvale (18 minutes).
Woolworths also deliver to our door.

The Coominya pub, Lowood pub and Bottletree Hotel are all close by and worth a visit for a drink or good pub food.

There is a walking trail (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail) right outside the back gate.

There is also a beautiful lakeside park and day-use reserve nearby (10 minutes) with a great swimming area, free barbecues and picnic tables. There are lots of native birds and often kangaroos.

The house has good internet, plus Netflix, Disney+, ABC iview etc.

We are going away to visit family over Christmas/New Year and need someone trustworthy and caring - who loves dogs - to feed and keep an eye on our 3 lovely dogs: 1 Cavalier, 1 Golden Retriever and 1 Kelpie.

Our dogs are part of our family - so they live in the house with us and have a dog door.
They are affectionate, low maintenance, house trained and don’t require walks as they have plenty of room to run around outside.
They just need someone to feed them and be around them to make sure they stay safe and settled.

We are looking for someone who is clean and tidy and will genuinely enjoy hanging out with our dogs while we’re away. Read more...
