About this house sitting position in Curramulka

** Please note: The house sitter refences on this page are for my home in Hervey Bay in Queensland.

Hi, I am seeking a house sitter/s over the Christmas break. I live in a rustic old farmhouse on Yorke Peninsula between the township of Curramulka (10km) and the eastern coast, some 7km to the small village of Port Julia. It is basic but comfortable living: if you seek peace and serenity this has it in abundance.

The home is simply furnished in old country style, has 2 bedrooms with queen and king single beds. There is gravity fed rainwater to the home so there is only low-pressure feed for showers etc but is adequate. The kitchen is also simple and equipped with what you will need to enjoy your stay. There is NBN and tv with Chromecast, a reverse cycle A/C and combustion heater.

The home is surrounded by 600 acres of farming land and is well off the gravel roads that run past giving you a feeling of seclusion and quiet, with views to the coast and sea glimpses.

My Kelpie cross Keisha is 12 1/2 years old. She is getting on in years and has arthritis and is quite deaf now. She enjoys travelling in the car and walks up to 2-3 kilometres. She talks a lot and tells you what she wants and when. You will be required to spend time with her and share the inside and outside of the home.

There are many places to visit within short drives, and you can enjoy the peace and quiet that this home offers.

“Dorota ,Barney dog & I loved staying at Dennis’s place!
We enjoyed our walks to the beach & esplanade.
The time went by far too fast.
Sitting in the garden was a must do listening to the fountain and watching the birds pass by.
Not uncommon to see a heron in the pond of a morning!
Beautiful landscaped gardens with more than ample herbs & fruits such as paw paws, bananas, basil, parsley, chives & mint to name a few.
We would definitely house sit again!
