“What an experience! I was a little apprehensive at first. It felt like a big deal. It turns out that worry was completely unnecessary. Susan and Carl were gracious, kind, and wonderfully down-to-earth. Their clear, friendly communication put me at ease, and I’m grateful they trusted me with their home despite my lack of experience. The house was comfortable, calm, and welcoming — even during an extreme fire danger period. The biggest challenge was finding anything that actually needed cleaning or tidying. Teddy - Or as I affectionately renamed him, Teddy Cat. Friendly, gentle, incredibly chilled — and clearly far above average in intelligence. How else do you describe a cat who speaks when you gently scratch his back? His expression said it all: “Hmm. Please do it again.” Teddy also appears to have an internal clock of impressive precision. At 5am, he announces, “Rise and shine." Lets go. Thank you.”
