About this house sitting position in Doctors Flat

We have a lovely four bedroom, two bathroom brick home on 75acres at Doctors Flat, 10min south of Swifts Creek. We run four horses, some chooks, 6 young cows and a 20+ sheep plus 2 Mareema dogs that stay with the sheep and 3 shed cats. Experience working around horses is a must. There will be no need to handle the sheep or cows however, the dogs, cats and chooks are fed once a day. The horses are extremely quiet and easy to be around and may need feeding once a day, depending on our pasture conditions. Cats are in the stables and very rarely come up to the house. The chooks are good layers, fed daily and eggs collected in the afternoon.
We will also require you to water a few gardens plus indoor plants.
Our home is extremely comfortable offering four bedrooms, a wood fire, gas heating and good TV reception as well. We have great Telstra mobile phone service and there will be access to wifi and desk top computer if required. There is plenty of room for a caravan and under cover parking for your vehicle if required.
Swifts Creek is only about 10 min away and offers an Green Grocer Supermarket, Bakery, Bush Nursing Clinic and Cafe.
Our home is an hour south of Mt Hotham and Dinner Plain and there will be snow at this time of year, plus there are many beautiful Alpine State Forest day drives through this area. Read more...
