Enjoy a relaxed coastal stay while caring for a friendly, energetic dog 🐾

The Home
You’ll be staying in a comfortable, single-level home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One room is set up as a home office, and the spare bedroom (yours) has a new queen bed and built-in wardrobe. You’ll also have the main bathroom to yourself, giving you plenty of space.

Comfort & Living
The house is cosy through winter with both a wood fire and heat pump. It runs on rainwater (reliable, but mindful use is appreciated). As this is a winter sit, a small contribution toward the power bill would be appreciated.

Outdoor Space
The garden is easy to manage, especially in winter. There are a few raised beds and pots that need occasional watering and light weeding, and the lawn may need a mow or whipper snip if it gets ahead.

Beach access at the end of the street (great for low-tide walks or a quick dip)
Surf beach just 1.8 km away
Walking tracks all around the area
Two great cafés near the surf beach and plenty of beaches to explore
Essentials within 500 m: IGA, butcher, bakery, chemist, bottle shop
Local pub about 1 km away

A car is recommended, as public transport is limited.

Clover 🐶
You’ll be caring for Clover, a 2-year-old Labrador from a working line. She’s affectionate, fun, and loves company.

Clover needs two walks a day (morning and evening)
Great recall and enjoys off-lead time at the beach or on trails
Loves swimming and playing fetch
Fine to be left during the day once exercised
Doggy door for easy access outside

She’s friendly with other dogs, occasionally curious about rabbits, and always keen for pats and cuddles.

I would like someone that is a bit flexible on the end date, if possible, as my work plans may change by a few days either side. Read more...
