About this house sitting position in Drake

I’m looking for a responsible, trustworthy and reliable house sitter to care for my home and two beautiful dogs while I travel to visit family over Christmas. I’ll be away from approximately 15 December for around three weeks, with exact dates to be confirmed shortly.

My two dogs are incredibly friendly, affectionate and very loved. They can be high-energy, but the wonderful thing about living here is that they have plenty of room to run, explore and play. The house is set on a huge acreage property, so there’s no need for daily lead walks they’re able to enjoy the property and get plenty of exercise at home.

Their safety is my biggest priority, so I’m looking for someone attentive who is happy to keep an eye on them whenever they’re outside. They generally stay close to the house, but being a rural property surrounded by nature, there is abundant wildlife in the area, including snakes and dingoes, so good supervision is important.

The home itself is beautiful, quaint and incredibly peaceful. It’s a two-storey, two-bedroom house surrounded by gum trees, wildlife and birdsong, with the master bedroom upstairs opening onto a huge balcony overlooking the mountains. It’s a very special spot for someone who loves nature, quiet and having plenty of space around them.

The property runs on solar power and tank water, so someone with previous rural or off-grid experience would be ideal, although certainly not essential. Everything has been professionally set up and the house is comfortable and easy to live in you really don’t feel as though you’re “roughing it” off-grid!

The house is fully equipped for a comfortable three-week stay, with reliable unlimited Starlink internet, Netflix, Stan and free-to-air TV, as well as everything you’ll need to settle in and enjoy the property.

In return, I’m simply looking for someone I can genuinely trust to treat my home with care and, most importantly, look after my dogs as though they were their own. As I’ll naturally miss them while I’m away, I’d also love a sitter who is happy to check in with me each day with a quick update and a photo or two.
