About this house sitting position in Evandale

We’re looking for a responsible, tidy, cat-loving house sitter to care for our comfortable, well-set-up unit while we’re away. Duties are simple and low-key: keep the house clean and tidy, water the garden, feed the fish, and most importantly, give our much-loved cat some company and care.
Our home is a ground-level unit in a small, quiet group. The neighbours are friendly but very much keep to themselves, making it a peaceful place to stay. Inside, the unit has two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, coffee machine, filtered water, and good-quality cookware and knives. The laundry includes a washer-dryer, and there’s a large split-system reverse-cycle air conditioner that comfortably cools and heats the entire home.
For anyone working remotely, there’s a large desk and reliable Wi-Fi.
Location-wise, we’re just a 10-minute drive from the CBD, with public transport right outside the door. Norwood Parade is only 5 minutes by car, or about a 30-minute walk through lovely leafy backstreets. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby and some excellent walking spots within a 15-minute drive.
Our cat is very friendly and affectionate once he gets to know you. He loves pats and cuddles and will often sleep at the foot of the bed at night. He turns 8 in October 2026 and is a big part of why we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys feline companionship.
