Looking for a caring, patient dog lover to look after my two Labradors

I’m looking for a reliable, caring and experienced house sitter to look after my home and two much-loved Labradors, Ruby and Maggie.

A little about the girls

Ruby is my older girl and an absolute sweetheart. She’s easy-going, friendly and pretty much takes life in her stride.

Maggie has a very different personality! She’s a lovely, sensitive girl who can be quite anxious around unfamiliar people and situations. She takes a little time to feel comfortable with new people, so I’m looking for someone who is naturally patient, calm and understanding of dogs who need a little extra reassurance.

Once Maggie gets to know you, she’s a gorgeous companion. The key is not to rush her or expect instant cuddles and affection. Someone who is happy to let her approach in her own time will be ideal.

What I’m looking for

My ideal sitter:

* Genuinely loves dogs and has experience caring for larger breeds.
* Is patient and confident with a sometimes-anxious dog.
* Understands the importance of maintaining familiar routines.
* Is happy to spend plenty of time at home with the girls rather than leaving them alone for extended periods.
* Is reliable, responsible and happy to keep me updated while I’m away.

Their routine

The girls enjoy their daily walks. Dinner is 5pm ish, with a final toilet break before bed.

Maggie likes having the freedom to come and go through the back door. I’ll explain their individual routines and needs when we meet.

A little about my home

I have a comfortable home with a lovely back deck and garden in Canberra, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. You’ll have the house to yourself and, in return, I’d love someone who will treat my home and, most importantly, my girls as their own.

I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so everyone has a chance to get acquainted, particularly Maggie.
