About this house sitting position in Fitzroy North

A lovely big Edwardian house 5k from Melbourne city; off-street parking; renovated kitchen and bathroom; wifi (NBN). Suit a couple, 2 friends or a single person probably over 25, who is not out every night (dogs!) House is a family home, so is not pristine but has all the mod cons and we will have it professionally cleaned just before we leave.

Two lovely WFH areas available: one modern area at back of the house, another in my study at a vintage where you'd be surrounded by books and art, with a Mac-compatible LG screen available. (the other side of the room is storage)

2 bedrooms: one with (currently) a queen and single bed taking up most of the space (we sleep better in separate beds) and a child's single bed which is quite comfortable. Shutters on windows are great for sleeping. Third bedroom is our 20yo son's and not available for the sit.

We have two 5yo male golden retrievers, who are the main focus of the sit. They are good boys, but one has anxiety around being approached by some other dogs, so we'd be suggesting on lead walking only. Plenty of lovely trails nearby. They sleep inside at night, but do not go into bedrooms etc.

Only 7 minutes' walk to the city tram; you can be in town in under half an hour, or ride in 15 minutes. Great local shops, parks, cafes.

As a bonus, if you have a car and need accommodation up to a week either side of our dates, we can offer a charming, but old cottage near Castlemaine, which is on AirBNB so is set up for short term.

Sit also involves bringing in mail and papers, watering pot plants. Security doorbell.

House has central heating, at least one cable service (it varies), NBN, workspaces and a/c and is comfortable and bright. Absolutely no parties or gatherings beyond a couple of friends please.

We'll have a local person available for backup on the dogs and any house emergencies. Comprehensive house guide will be provided.
