About this house sitting position in Forest
We live in Northwest Tasmania on a 60 acre hobby farm located 20 kilometres south of Stanley. We are looking for a couple or a single person to live in our home for 4 weeks from the beginning of February until early March 2027.
Our comfortable small home has a wood heater, hot water is solar and the stove is gas.
We are looking for people who have experience with farm animals because the position entails occasionally moving quiet beef cattle, checking electric fences and stock water. We also have a small flock of sheep, and chooks.
We have a productive vegetable garden and orchard so we would need our house sitters to water the garden and share in the produce.
We would like to do an exchange with the right people, our home at no charge with eggs and some farm produce in exchange for watering the garden and moving the cattle to a fresh paddock once or twice.
There are beaches, cafe's and supermarket within 15 minutes at either Smithton or Stanley. Burnie is 1 hour away.
