About this house sitting position in Geeveston

We live in the beautiful little southern Tasmanian township of Geeveston in the Huon Valley, within walking distance of shops and amenities. Our house is small but very comfortable. Cosy in the winter with a log burner and cool in the summer with air conditioning and ceiling fans. We are looking for a reliable sitter for our 6 year old Rough Collie (Lassie) Jago, someone to feed our 4 chooks and water the garden (when the Tasmanian weather doesn't oblige with rain!). But Jago is our main priority, he's our little boy, he loves his walks, people and other dogs. He has a morning and afternoon walk around the parks in Geeveston as well as his garden to play in. There are dog friendly cafes in Geeveston and our local town hall/visitors information centre is dog friendly as well (we volunteer there) and Jago loves to pop in and be made a fuss of! He is fine left alone in the kitchen (his bedroom) for a couple of hours (no more than 5)so long as he's given a chew as a treat when you leave.

“Suzannah's comfortable home is located in the tranquil village of Geeveston, Tasmania. You can easily walk to the shops, cafes and town amenities from her home. Communications and changeovers were hassle-free. Suzannah's comprehensive house-sit manual was great (and a fun read)! Her handsome dog, Jago was an absolute delight. He was very well behaved, great in the car and walked well on the lead. We were spoilt with fresh eggs from the chickens and herbs from the garden. We highly recommend Suzannah's place to fellow house-sitters.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Jago, the handsome collie. He was a delight to walk each morning and afternoon, and he even helped me find the elusive platypus in the local river. Jago was very sweet and well behaved, and he enjoyed some cuddles and play time each evening before settling into his bed. I will miss his adorable face. ? The homeowners were friendly and accommodating, and they gave detailed instructions that were easy to understand. The home was very clean, comfortable and cozy. It had many amenities that made my stay enjoyable. It was also conveniently located near the centre of town. The local area has many beautiful and interesting places to explore. The local people were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend this housesitting opportunity, and I would definitely housesit here again if the opportunity arises.”
