About this house sitting position in Glenroy

I'm looking for a housesitter or sitters who works from home to look after my house and 7 year old, 30kg Staffy-cross-Greyhound (at least that's what we think she is!) while we are away for 3.5 weeks.

My home is a 2 bed, 1 bath unit with unlimited wifi (fine for work and TV streaming but maybe not the bandwidth for gaming), split system air-con/heater, full kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and small & secure backyard.

Great neighbours along the drive (7 units in total), and opposite the house, everyone gets on and looks out for each other.

The unit is 200m from Coles, 250m from Glenroy Train station (25 minutes train ride to the city), 4km from Broadmeadows shopping center with Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Various shops, Cinema, Bunnings etc. There are also a couple of cafes and takeaways on the highstreet (250m away) and a decent selection of UberEats restaurants that deliver to the property.

My dog can be left in my secure back garden for around 3-5 hours max, and never overnight.

While she likes a walk, unless you are confident with big dogs, I wouldn't expect you to walk her, just take her down to the nature strip and into the 'scrub' on the other side of the road from the house a few times a day.

Other than that she is very much an inside dog, happy to lounge around inside and outside during the day and on her bed (or her bed on the couch!) in the lounge room at night. And *very* food motivated.

Extra notes:
My dog is a rescue and takes a little time to warm up to new people in the house, so a meet and greet beforehand is a good idea to check that Kallie is comfortable with you (and you with her); and while she loves other dogs, my unit is quite small and isn't really suitable for more than one animal.

She is a big dog, with a big bark, but very affectionate once she knows you're a friend (+ i'll give you treats to give her to seal the deal!) Read more...
