About this house sitting position in Gowrie

We live in a lovely, comfortable house with amazing views of the Brindabellas. Our home has two bedrooms and a study ( which also has a single lounge which converts to a single bed), a main bathroom with separate toilet and an ensuite off the main bedroom, a lounge/dining room and a family room. The house underwent some renovations in 2023 including a new front deck, stunning new kitchen and new flooring throughout. In 2024 we also installed double glazed windows to add an another layer to the energy efficiency of our home. We will be travelling overseas and need someone to look after our home and our beautiful male Border Collie pup, Finn who will be nearly 17 months old when we leave. He is a clever, funny, affectionate and lovely boy . He loves people and likes to play and go for walks. While he can be left alone for up to 6 hours at a time he does get anxious because he loves company. We would prefer a sitter who will be around most of the time or someone who mostly works from home. A couple or single person would be ideal. Finn needs a daily walk of 30-40 minutes. Most of the gardens have an automatic watering system but some hand watering of pot plants is required every few days.
The house is surrounded by great walking tracks and there is a fabulous coffee shop, pharmacy, grocery shop and hairdressers only a two minute walk from the house.
NB: The start date is not flexible, the chosen sitter would need to meet up with us and Finn in person a day or two before August 14. Read more...
