We have 2 gorgeous cats : Smudge (5), who is frisky and somewhat anxious, and Spookie, who is more sedate at almost 7 years old. The cats aren't terribly high maintenance though as we're both retired they're used having humans to let them in and out whenever they bang on the screen door.
Our house is on a quiet street in a quiet suburb 7km west of Parramatta in Western Sydney. We are 5 minutes from a bus stop, 2 km from a train station and there is a small shopping centre a 5 minute walk away. The house is 3 bedrooms with a pool and a medium-sized yard. We have decent Wi-fi, Foxtel IQ, Netflix, Disney Channel, a pianola and hundreds of books to keep you entertained, as well as a big back yard that is lovely to sit out in. The house has a solar battery, with a fasn EV charger. We don't mind if you smoke outside.
There will be some light pool maintenance (topping up the water, adding chlorine) but no yard work .
If you're into exercise and adventure we are 15 minutes from the Sydney Zoo and the Western Sydney Regional Parks, and there are bike tracks leading to Propect Dam and beyond.
We would prefer sitters who are retired or work at least partly from home, only because the cats are used to company. Read more...
