About this house sitting position in Gulmarrad

We have a lovely 3-4 bedroom ( one bedroom is used as a yoga space) split level, modern home on 2.2 acres, nestled in a quiet part of the Clarence Valley. We're 5 minutes from Maclean and 20 minutes from the pristine beaches of Yamba and 15 minutes to Brooms Head beach.

We have beautiful landscaped grounds including irrigated gardens.There is a plunge pool off the large back deck.
An abundance of wildlife shares our property and makes good use of the 'wildlife corridor' at the rear of the block.
There is a chemical free vegie patch and we have 4 chickens that provide lovely organic eggs most days.
Our home is smoke free and we have minimal use of chemicals both inside for cleaning and outside in the garden.
The pool is very low maintenance and should not require attention while we are away.

Our biggest requirement from a house sitter is a genuine love of cats and willingness to care for our elderly cat.
She lives totally indoors and currently has no special requirements except lots of cuddles ( when she is awake!) and encouragement to eat - she can be fussy with food.

Our 4 bantam chickens are fairly fuss free and usually get about an hour of 'free ranging, most afternoons.
At the time of year that we need a sitter there should not be much to do in the garden apart from a little hand watering if there is no rain.

Sorry, but a sitter cannot bring their own pets .
You will need your own transport as there is no public transport nearby.
We would really prefer a single mature female house sitter as this has worked well for us in the past. But we're happy to consider other contacts. Read more...
