About this house sitting position in Gwandalan

We are looking for a housesitter to look after our border collie, Buddy later this year.

We live at the top of the Central Coast on Lake Macquarie. The house is a modern two-storey home with a large private peaceful back garden (700 m2 block). The street is quiet and safe due to not being a thoroughfare for other streets. Neighbours have security cameras. The area has supermarkets, pharmacy, gym, cafes, bakery, post office, mechanic, petrol stations, takeaway shops, bowling club, weekly Lions market, etc. The nearest large shopping centre is 20 minutes' away (Lake Haven) with a cinema, etc. The nearest Woolworths/Coles is 10-minutes' drive.

The lake is 8 minutes' walk. Beaches and the Munmorah State National Park are nearby. Within 15 minutes you have beautiful Catherine Hill Bay, Lake Munmorah and Budgewoi. To help with orientation, we are about 50 minutes from Newcastle towards Sydney. The closest train is Wyee, 15 minutes drive.

Buddy is a 13-year old border collie. We walk him daily for about 20 minutes. He is low maintenance with walking and keeping entertained (no medication required). As there is a dog door, Buddy comes inside when he wants to. He is fed twice a day, morning and late afternoon/evening. This gives you lots of time to explore this beautiful part of the world.

Buddy is hesitant/anxious at first but loves a pat when he gets to know you. A healthy pooch for his age, who likes company but is independent (he does his own thing), doesn't bark much and likes his food. Does react to sneezes, fireworks and storms.

We are seeking a reliable, calm and clean house sitter (single or couple) that is experienced with dogs, has endorsements on their profile and is willing to walk Buddy.

There are reviews on this site and another popular housesitting site (attached document). Seeking someone that can meet face-to-face beforehand or at least video call (WhatsApp), references desirable.
