About this house sitting position in Harvey

We have a 10 acre hobby farm with 40+ sheep (10 new lambs) and free ranging chickens that produce fresh eggs daily.

The sheep look after themselves while the chickens need letting out in the morning and locking up after they roost up for the night.

Our cats are like chalk and cheese, Tiger will be all over your lap whenever he can be, Kit cat doesn't like to be picked up, however, she will sleep on the end of the bed and is very friendly when she wants feeding, Tiger will try to sleep on your head if he's allowed. Both are happy to follow us outside to see where we go and what we are doing, and will spend some of the day out with the chickens or sleeping in front of the TV.

The house is still a work in progress (circa 1960) but is clean and perfectly liveable and fully equipped with a new kitchen with everything you could possibly need.

There is a bathroom and separate toilet opposite the guest bedroom that has a very comfortable queen sized bed and bedside cabinets, with hanging wardrobe space in the next room.

The town is a very friendly place with two supermarkets, bakeries and a butcher, and everything you would expect of a country town. Read more...

“We had approximately 5 weeks on Sarah and Phil's 10 ac farm in the beautiful Harvey region in late Autumn. We saw two new lambs born and cared for the chooks, the budgies and beautiful Kitkat, a very shy beautiful black cat who won our hearts. Everything was at our disposal including the use of a vehicle which was particularly useful to explore the beautiful Ferguson Valley and other local villages. Sarah introduced us to the local Scrabble group and we thoroughly enjoy playing at the library every Friday morning. Phil and Sarah were easy to contact and responded quickly to any concerns we raised. Great couple friendly and welcoming.”

Sheelagh and Helen are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet. They did their absolute best at looking after our home, our cat and the livestock on our farm, including keeping a close watch on the two new born lambs and their mum's and kept us fully informed of their progress. They cleared the dead plants from the vegetable garden and also expertly pruned the fruit trees where needed. We instantly felt extremely comfortable leaving them to look after our home and animals and can highly recommend them for anyone needing reliable house sitters.
