About this house sitting position in Highton

Our split level home was built in the seventies and has loads of character, beautiful views and an extensive garden. It’s peaceful and spacious, and has the Barwon River walking track just at the bottom of the street. There are no cafes within walking distance, but the lovely Highton village is a 5 min drive away, big Waurn Ponds shopping centre and Geelong city are both about 15 mins away.

There’s the master bedroom, two kids bedrooms, a guest/office, a playroom, kitchen, dining room and big lounge room. Also three bathrooms, plus an extra toilet and a double garage.

Will the Cat is very low maintenance - his cat flap automatically locks at night once he’s inside and he’s fed once a day. If you enjoy cat snuggles at night, he’ll almost certainly come for a cuddle if you leave the bedroom door open (we don’t though, and he doesn’t mind that either). He has a litter tray in case he needs to go at night, but he much prefers using the garden and rarely uses the tray.

Maple the Dog is a Kelpie cross. She’s a sweetheart, but also a thief - she will steal any food left on the counter and try to raid the pantry if the door is left open. She’s also fed once a day and sleeps on the balcony/in the office. If you enjoy dog walks then there’s a lovely walking track by the river at the bottom of our street - but the garden is also very big and she’s more than happy to spend the day there. She can get jumpy when she’s excited, but she calms down quickly.

Puff the Dragon will be in brumation when we’re gone, so no care needed for him.
