About this house sitting position in Home Hill

We’re looking for a caring and reliable person/couple to look after our two fur babies and our home/yard while we’re away on holiday.

Mera is an American cross Staffy and Zarla is an English Staffy. Both are friendly, spoilt, and absolutely love being around people. Zarla is with us every second week, as she’s my daughter’s dog, so some weeks you’ll only be caring for Mera.

We also need someone to keep an eye on the house and yard. We have a bore and sprinklers set up, and the lawn area is small — mowing and whipper snipping usually takes about 45 minutes. The house is tiled throughout and easy to keep tidy, with a new wet room bathroom that’s simple to clean.
Home Hill is a small, friendly country town in the Burdekin, about an hour south of Townsville and an hour north of Bowen’s beautiful beaches. Historical Charters Towers is just west of us. The area offers plenty to enjoy — golf, lawn bowls, tennis, pickleball, a gym, Pilates studio, and great fishing spots for crabbing and prawning.
You’re welcome to stay in our air conditioned spare room in our low set home, and there’s also space for a caravan in the backyard.
