About this house sitting position in Jabuk
Our dates are somewhat flexible.
Looking for sitters for our 5 cats and 13 hens and 1 rooster. The cats need some company and attention each day, the house-sitters we have had for the previous 4 years used to come into the house late afternoon, light the fire, sit in the lounge and watch the tv, giving the cats any attention they required. The litter trays need to be done a couple of times a week and water bowls maintained/cleaned as required. The cats have the run of the house and an outside enclosure so don't roam free. The chickens just need to have their eggs collected daily, these eggs will be yours to use or sell while you are here. The chooks will need to be let out of night enclosure about 7.30am, they will put themselves away at dusk, you just need to check that there are no strays and close up the night pen. The chicken roost will need to be de-pooped about once a week, masks provided. The chooks have an outside area they have access to that is surrounded by an electric fence. The chickens have long term feed containers and graze when they are hungry., likewise for the cats, however 1 cat requires wet, tinned food daily due to health needs. The feed containers will need to be checked weekly and water checked at the same time.
A little watering of a couple of plants may be required depending on rainfalland maybe a little weeding.
You can use any veg that becomes ready while you are here.
Peter and I are non smokers and both triple vaccinated.
Our property is a small cottage on 10 acres. We are 45 min from Tailem Bend Motor Sport Park and the Mighty Murray. If wineries are your scene it is 2 hrs to Barossa Valley and 2 hours to McLaren Vale, also 2 hours to Adelaide City.
Staying in your own caravan is preferred, but not essential, either way you will have access to the house and it's facilities.
We prefer no dogs please, a cat would be fine, but not in the house, and please just be aware we are rural and we di have foxes around.
Please contact us for any further information.
We are looking forward to chatting with you . Read more...
