Olaf and Eggnog are two friendly, easy-going Boxer dogs. Give them breakfast between seven and nine thirty, then pop them in their crates for around half an hour. Give dinner in the evening and crate again for half an hour. They should also be settled before their meals too for around the same time.
A dog walker will be taking care of the regular walks, so you won’t need to walk them every day, but they do love a good walk, and you’re very welcome to take them out whenever you like.
They have a dog door, so you won’t need to let them in and out. They use a designated concreted toilet area; please pick up after them once every couple of days. The more the dogs are walked, the less they tend to use the toilet area, so some days it will likely need very little to no attention.
For Olaf’s health, the dogs must not go into the backyard; he has severe allergies to bull-ants and certain plants there, which can cause a serious potentially fatal reaction. No daily medication is required. He is quite fine being walked and to the dog park. Just be mindful if you see large ants nests.
The chickens are very easy to look after. Collect the eggs every second day and check their food and water at the same time.
Top up only if needed; the large feeders and water containers usually need this about once a week.
When needed, slide out the tray in the chicken house and empty the used bedding into the compost bin.
You won’t need to put them away at night; the coop door closes automatically in the evening and opens in the morning.
A camera overlooking the chicken enclosure lets you keep an eye on them remotely.
We can provide a phone with the camera app and other smart-home control apps already set up for you if you're unsure about tech! Read more...
