House Sitting in a Beachside Paradise – Lion & Raptor Tamer Needed

Greetings from our little slice of paradise! If you’re dreaming of a coastal weekend escape, this might be the perfect opportunity. We live in a gorgeous holiday destination with stunning beaches close by and peaceful Lake Illawarra just a short stroll away — ideal for morning swims, sunset walks, family-friendly splashing, playgrounds, and BBQs that practically call your name.
Follow the lake towards the mouth and you’ll find surf beaches within walking distance. If you're carrying a surfboard, consider it your warm-up for the waves.
🥚 Your Spring weekend Housemates
While we head off on our own pre-Easter adventure (the dogs are coming with us), our home still has some very important residents who need a stand-in caretaker… or at least someone with good organisational skills and a soft spot for animals.
🦁 The “Lions” (our cats)
Your royal duties include:
Feeding
Letting Lizzy in and out whenever her majesty demands
Keeping the mischevious Wynstan in at all times. (Sometimes Lizzy needs a break from Wynstan and is allowed outside, Wynstan we don't trust outside, he has no self preservation skills)
Providing affection and the occasional brush (strictly when they approve)
They are fluffy, opinionated, and entirely convinced they’re the main characters in everyone’s story.
🐓 The “Raptors” (our chickens)
Out the back lives a flock of feathered dinosaurs who are far less dramatic but just as important.
Fortuately they are far more self sufficient since the purchase of an auto feeder, waterer and auto coop door.
How ever daily care still requires brining in their eggs, else little Chickie Jagger gets broody.

Our house is modest, cozy, and perfect for a relaxed beachside stay:
Two bedrooms + study
Bathroom + outdoor laundry/second toilet
Driveway parking with carport
Netflix & Prime Video for winding down at night
A small bathtub for relaxing after your daily lion & raptor duties
The yard is tidy and great for sitting outside with a drink and enjoying the summer sunshine. Garden care is minimal — just watering a few pot plants and veggies every couple of days.
