5-Day House Sit Needed, Newcastle NSW, Caring for Bella (Gentle Senior Whippet)

The Sit
We're after a warm, reliable house sitter for 5 days to care for our beautiful 11-year-old Whippet, Bella, in our Newcastle home. Free, comfortable accommodation in exchange for keeping Bella company and settled while we're away.

The Place
2 bedroom modern villa in the cosmopolitan suburb of Lambton, Newcastle. One parking spot outside unit. Great view off back deck overlooking the green hills of Jesmond bushland.

About Bella
Bella is a perfect darling. She's affectionate, gentle, doesn't bark, and is very well trained and fully house trained. She adores people and other dogs and is genuinely the easiest house dog you could ask for.

The one thing to know: Bella has some anxiety and cannot be left home alone. This is a companionship sit as much as a pet-sitting one, we need someone who will be home with her all the time.

What's involved

Constant companionship, Bella is not to be left alone at all. Will in sit in the car happily for short periods.
Regular gentle walks (she's 11, so nothing strenuous)
Feeding and general care
A calm, affectionate presence, she thrives on connection

What we offer
Free, comfortable accommodation in our home for the duration of the sit. Great location. Beautiful neat - 2 bedroom unit. This is a value exchange, no money changes hands in either direction.

Ideal sitter
Someone local to Newcastle or happy to base themselves here for the 5 days, who is home-based or working from home during that period, loves dogs (especially gentle seniors), and is comfortable with a dog who needs company rather than independence. Experience with anxious or senior dogs highly regarded.
