About this house sitting position in Landsborough

My husband & I are looking for someone to look after our house & animals for a long weekend. Our dog has a heart condition & it is imperative that you are able to keep him company. We’re really needing experienced people, with references & police checks, who will be happy to spend the majority of time at home & not leave the dog on his own all day. He frets if he is left all day. We’re hoping that you’ll love the tranquility of our home & will want to just relax & enjoy the pool. Or swing in the hammock on the verandah.

We also have a gentle, old horse (he’s 35), 11 geese, chickens, and 2 cats. The animals are all really easy. As long as you’re around to feed morning & night, & put the geese & chickens to bed. And give the dog lots of cuddles. He’ll want to sleep on the floor, in your bedroom, so please don’t apply if you’re not into that.

We live in a beautiful 100yr old Queenslander with verandas overlooking our pool, garden and 4 acres of paddock with a large, natural dam. We have abundant wildlife including a large mob of kangaroos that regularly visit & an abundance of birds. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find it here. It really is very peaceful, yet we are only 2kms away from Landsborough township.

We are based in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with the Glasshouse Mountains dominating the surrounding landscape. They are wonderful to climb, for the intrepid. We are surrounded by beautiful places to walk. We are 20 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from Australia Zoo & 1 hour from Brisbane. The beautiful Hinterland town of Maleny is just up the hill, A great place for breakfasts. Landsborough is a small community, with all amenities, trains and buses. And a pub.
