Christmas / New Year House Sitter Wanted – Leyburn, QLD

Fancy swapping the Christmas chaos for fresh country air, wide-open spaces and a few furry (and feathered) friends?

We’re looking for a reliable, animal-loving house sitter (single or couple) to enjoy our peaceful 220-acre rural property near Leyburn over Christmas and New Year.

🐾 Meet the locals:

* 11 Horses – mostly miniature, all friendly with full-sized personalities!
* A gaggle of geese
* 3 Jack Russells and a cattle dog – our inside/outside crew
* Oscar and Moose the farm cats – who undoubtedly think they own the place!

🌾 What’s involved?

Around 10 - 15 minutes, twice a day, to feed the animals and check/top up their water. Clear, easy-to-follow feeding instructions provided. The rest of your time is yours to enjoy!

🌳 What’s in it for you?

220 acres of peace, privacy and beautiful bushland, with kangaroos, wallabies and plenty of native wildlife.

A fantastic spot for birdwatching by day and stargazing by night, with wide-open country skies and no city lights to spoil the view.

We’re minutes away from Leyburn, with its country pub, post office and general store, and approximately 45 minutes from both Toowoomba and Warwick which are major towns. Plenty to explore, or simply kick back and enjoy doing absolutely nothing!

We need cover for the dates specified but can be flexible if you want to come a bit earlier or stay longer.

🚐 The ideal sitter

A responsible, animal-loving single person or couple, preferably with their own caravan or accommodation.

Power and water hookups available for caravans and self-contained setups.
