Hi!

We're Brett and Gemma, and we're looking for a house sitter for two upcoming holidays in 2025 :)

We have a comfortable house located right in between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, making it a great spot for those who might want to house-sit but also visit these two areas. We have unlimited internet for your use, plenty of streaming services, air con you can freely run in the Brissy heat due to solar panels, and are located in a quiet cul-de-sac with an IGA, local cafe, pizza and fish and chip joints, and a bottle shop within walking distance. The Hyperdome is a very short drive away; a large shopping center with typical mall shopping, a cinema, Coles/Woolies/Aldi, and plenty of restaurants.

Hop on the highway and head north for an approximate 25-30 minute drive to the Brisbane CBD, or head south for 30-40 minutes for Surfer's Paradise. Tamborine Mountain is also a great destination that's close by! We love our home because you can be among it all reasonably quickly, but wind down in the afternoon with snacks and a drink on our back deck in a quiet neighbourhood.

Our home is a four-bedroom but only suitable for a single or a couple due to two rooms being taken up by office/hobby spaces and the spare room not having guest bedding (there is a treadmill you're free to use though!). The main bedroom includes air con and an en-suite as well.

Most important are our three fur babies: Griff the labrador, and our two rescue cats Hati and Skadi who are both strictly indoor cats only when we are away. Previous house sitters have let Hati out before and we were distraught and lucky to get her back. So we're looking for someone with animal experience, who will double-check doors before going outside and make sure they have eyes on both cats before leaving the house. Apart from this they are very easy to look after, and Griff in particular is very friendly and just happy to hang out with you (and ask for a treat or two!).
