About this house sitting position in Macedon

Our early 80's 4 bedroom home is 2.5km from Macedon township and train station, the local pub, cafes and post office. There is a nearby reservoir for swimming in summer. Our property is on over an acre. We have a dog, a cat and 2 goats. Our border collie cross requires 45-1h of walking each day, medications in his food for arthritis and some company. He is an inside dog and sleeps inside but has a fenced outdoor area also. The cat also likes a bit of company on her own terms. She sleep inside at night and has a litter tray she uses inside. The goats love to be fed hay daily and their water changed.
The dog is happy to spend time during the day just sleeping on his own (we work away from the home a couple of days a week) but we do prefer someone who is around more often than not. We have fibre to the house for internet, a wood heater with plenty of wood in the shed, and split systems for heating/cooling in lounge and bedrooms as well as bedroom fans.
Macedon is a lovely little town with great bush walks and the Macedon Ranges is a beautiful area to explore. Macedon is on the vline less and one hour to southern cross. Read more...
