About this house sitting position in Malanda

Quiet location on the Johnstone river in Ngadjon Country. Lots of birds and other wildlife, much of which can be enjoyed from the big back verandah. Regowth and planted forest to wander through.
100-year old Queenslander home, freshly painted and clean. Rain and bore water.
20 minute walk to town. A flock of friendly free ranging chickens and two guinea pigs need daily attention, including feeding and shutting in at night to protect them from pythons, dingos and other chook eaters. Occasional handling will be necessary and you need to be able to get down on the ground to do the guinea pigs.
A small number of pot plants will need water a couple of times a week. If it's really dry (unlikely during the summer wet season), our house gardens and veggie patch will also need a hose.
The wet season in Malanda can be quite wet and muddy, but it's also wonderful for wildlife and swimming or relaxing.
A beautiful place to enjoy exploring the Atherton Tablelands region.
