About this house sitting position in Manly

We are hoping to find the right sitter(s) that we can meet in person before the end of May. We are looking for someone with documented reviews, does not smoke, and would be able to meet in person before 31 May (but the sooner the better :) ). The dates are fixed, but if you need to stay a day or two on either side of the start/end, we are flexible! We have had mostly positive experiences with house sitting until our most recent sit, so I also feel the need to put in writing that we do not want sitters to host anyone else in our home unless they ask our permission first (sorry if this sounds ridiculous, but we were burned before). We also politely request that you buy and consume your own food and drinks rather than relying primarily on ours...

We are looking for a responsible single or couple to take care of our 13 year old dog and 15 year old indoor cat in our 3x2 house that is 5 min walk from the wharf and 10 min walk to Manly beach. Kodi and Rosie are both very quiet and relaxed companions who just want company and safety.

Kodiak (Kodi) is a 13 year old Alaskan Klee Kai (miniature husky) who is the light of our lives. He's incredibly spoiled, which makes going away difficult. We're looking for someone who ideally works from home or is retired so you are not away from the house for 8+ hours each day. He doesn't need to be played with for 8 hours a day, just wants "his pack" nearby. His routine is dry food+lyka (refrigerated food, very easy) in the morning and evening, and a teaspoon of wet food in the evening. He will curl up on the couch (or just beneath it on the floor) to watch TV with us at night, and usually sleeps in the "bottom bunk" (his bed at the bottom of the bed) at night.

Rosie is very simple. She is is a very sweet, snuggly cat. She primarily eats dry food, with a small amount of wet food in the evenings. We clean her litter box every other day. She is strictly indoors. She usually sleeps in bed with us (we wake up and she's curled up somewhere, doesn't usually come to bed with us).

Garden: We have plants on the rooftop (variety of trees/shrubs/plants) as well as on the balcony near the kitchen (lemon/lime trees, various herbs), and the balcony off the main bedroom (one flower pot). The sitter will need to keep these watered. No need to mow the lawn - it grows very slowly!

Our home is a few minutes' walk to everything. No car is needed, but if you have one, you can park it in our garage or if it’s too big you can have our on-street parking pass to use. Sitters can also use our little car if needed. Read more...
