About this house sitting position in Mareeba

Our home is modern, comfortable and spacious, with open-plan living and plenty of room to relax. House sitters will have a private spare bedroom and their own separate bathroom located nearby (not an ensuite), as well as secure garage parking.

The home has fully ducted air conditioning—ideal for December in Far North Queensland—as well as flyscreens throughout if you prefer fresh air. A sauna and ice bath are also available for use. We currently have a pool under construction, which is expected to be completed and ready to enjoy by the time of the stay.

We are located in a safe and friendly suburb of Mareeba. Our neighbours are lovely, helpful and familiar with our dogs, providing some extra peace of mind during the stay.

Luna and Zeus are two very friendly, intelligent German Shepherds who mostly just love having someone around for company.

Luna is three years old and is mum to Zeus, who is one. They are closely bonded, love playing together and have plenty of room to run around in our large, fully fenced yard. Both dogs are comfortable inside and outside and enjoy spending time with you—whether that involves playing ball in the backyard or cuddling on the couch.

Walks are very welcome if you feel comfortable confidently walking larger dogs; however, they are not essential. Backyard play, companionship and affection will keep them happy while we are away.

They are fed once daily, usually between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and neither requires medication or any other special care.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys larger dogs and feels confident caring for and managing two German Shepherds. In return, you’ll have two affectionate and entertaining companions who will be very happy to have you there. Read more...
