Hello!

We are Rose and Heath, a train driver and a doctor. We live in a small unit in Mayfield, NSW. We have a 14 year old cat named Holly who we’re hoping to find company for while we travel. Mostly we just want someone to keep her company and give her lots of pats/attention. She has an automatic dry food feeder that goes off through the day (and stops her from waking us for food in the morning haha), and she is given wet food twice at night. Other than that she just needs hugs and her litter changed. She is a loving little shadow, nothing medical to know. She’s 14 but still jumps, plays, and zoomies. She spends most of her day on her heated rugs or lazing in the sun, or with us on the couch in the evening. She is very very very enthusiastic about food and the smell of the inside of recently worn men’s shoes (????) hahaha. She’s loves a snuggle in bed but prefers to sleep on her heat mats overnight. Holly is strictly indoor only. :)

Our unit was built about 11 years ago in a bustling area, but is in a very quiet little complex. It is just a few blocks from grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, and public transport. It’s a short trip to several beautiful beaches, hiking spots, libraries, galleries, parks, and wineries. We have FTTP internet and you’re welcome to use all our streaming subscriptions and groceries (grocery requests welcome!). The house is all on one level with internal access garage + visitor parking. It is air conditioned with a dishwasher, and washer+dryer. It has a small backyard (maintenance not required) that gets a lot of bird visitors. Our indoor plants may require watering once or twice.

The house does have two internal cameras. One is on Holly’s automatic feeder pointing into its food bowl. It looks into an empty tiled hallway in the laundry area and can see up to about shin height on a person. The camera other looks towards at her heat mat and area she lays in the sun on the floor, covering about 1-2sqm of floor by the back door. They only look at Holly. Both are aimed at the ground. Neither record audio. We’re happy to turn them off if you prefer, but if you’re happy to have them on, we’d love to be able to see our girl.

We are away for 10 days in November, and have several other trips coming up, so if you like the sound of Holly and our place we would love to have someone we connect with regularly. Read more...
