About this house sitting position in Meredith

We are looking for a reliable and caring house sitter while we travel to Europe from 31 August 2026 to 2 November 2026.
We live on a small sheep farm (220 acres) near Meredith, located between Geelong and Ballarat, with Melbourne also within commuting distance. We are hoping to find someone who would enjoy a peaceful country stay and caring for our much loved pets.
Our comfortable three bedroom farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful rural scenery, with dams and old goldmines on the property that can be explored. We have starlink internet which is fast and reliable to work from home.
We have:
• Three friendly farm dogs – two kelpies and one border collie. All are easy to manage and very affectionate. They live outside.
• One indoor cat
• Chickens
• Productive veggie garden
The sheep on the farm will be cared for by our neighbour unless checking and feeding the sheep interests you. So the main responsibility is looking after the house and pets.
This would suit someone who enjoys country living, nature, and animals, while still being within reach of larger regional centres and Melbourne.
