About this house sitting position in Metung

We have a charming guest cottage on our 85 acre property, 5 km out of Metung on the Gippsland Lakes, with beautiful views over Lake King and Tambo Bay. It is fully self contained and private, and very comfortable. We would love for someone to come and stay in the cottage for 3 months or so and keep an eye on things on the farm, while we come and go on various trips. You would be welcome to bring your caravan and slip away to explore this beautiful region on the occasions when we are back home (if you wanted to).
We have 5 horses, several chooks, a number of cows & calves and and dorper sheep, as well as our 2 dogs (who will mostly be travelling with us). We are after someone who is happy to collect the eggs each day, and keep an eye on the vegetable garden, horses and livestock, as well as look after the 2 dogs on the occasions when they cannot come with us. The horses need a daily small feed/mineral mix, and the aged pony has an auto feeder which needs topping up every few days. The livestock need checking just to make sure there are no issues and that the water troughs are functioning. We will be back and forth over the course of the 3 months, so we will be able to deal with any issues that may arise. Read more...
