About this house sitting position in Milang

Hello!

We are looking for another great house-sitting couple!

Our dates are from 6th May to 5th June 2025. We’re seeking a couple to house-sit our home in Milang, South Australia – an older limestone house with a large yard. The property is located near the shores of Lake Alexandrina, close to the historical town of Strathalbyn, the Adelaide Hills, and only 20 minutes to Goolwa and the beaches along the south coast. We’re also just 10 minutes from the wine region of Langhorne Creek.

Ideally, we are looking for a mature, fit couple (around our age, haha!) with their own caravan, which can be parked in the fenced yard with access to electricity from the nearby shed. Our kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and lounge area will also be available for use.

The couple we are looking for would be animal-loving and caring, as we have a variety of pets that need attention. The main responsibility will be caring for our elderly border collie, who requires special attention with his medication (which is easy). It’s important to recognise when he has had enough, as he loves to play and go for walks, but he is a bit wobbly on his feet!

We also have another dog that loves a daily walk. Archie, our older dog, can only manage about 1km, but the younger one needs a longer walk. Both our dogs enjoy companionship, so we are looking for a couple who are happy to spend time with them and enjoy being around them. This by all means is not 24/7 they are ok left alone when your out and about. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll have a laugh and fall in love with our 2!

In addition to the dogs, we have 3 cats (one of whom is the boss of the house) and an assortment of ducks and chickens, all of which are easy to look after.

If you enjoy gardening, you’re welcome to potter around in the garden, and it would be much appreciated if you could assist with general watering and maintenance.
