About this house sitting position in Mole Creek
We have a beautiful little cottage (with an indoor and outdoor fireplace) and a small hobby farm (you only need to feed our chickens, dogs x2, and cows x3 (in winter only) and the sheep look after themselves. We have 2 beautiful (very well-behaved and trained) doggies that would need feeding, cuddles, and some playtime. The cottage is on a hill above a running river and amongst rolling hills with AMAZING views of the Western Tiers. We have a massive deck area where you can cook at BBQ or our firepit area for toasting marshmallows!
Enjoy fresh eggs daily and leisurely strolls along our stream to spot our local platypus, or park up for a picnic at a number of spots scattered around the property.
Spot the wallabies, pademelons, and occasional wild deer at night, or simply enjoy the sounds of the most amazing bird life while enjoying a cuppa or wine.
We have a lovely wood fireplace that heats up the cottage where you can unwind and get cozy with endless streaming options on our Google TV.
Mole Creek is unsurpassed as a popular stopping destination for touring the central north area of Tasmania. Relax in the peace and tranquillity that is many of the scenic walks within the Mole Creek area. Mole Creek is known for its Leatherwood honey factory. There are also a variety of cave systems worth exploring, including King Solomon's Cave, which has attracted tourists since the 1850s (literally 5 min down the road are the caves) Mole Creek is also home to a popular wildlife park where Tasmanian devils and a huge variety of diverse Tasmanian wildlife can be found.
While you are here check out the Wandering Trout Brewery for a beverage and lunch/dinner (and some live music) or Mole Creek hotel for one of their famous tassie tiger pies! Both are just down the road in town (5 min away)
Our recommendations are try the wine and a cheese platter at the Meander Valley Vineyard, and Georgie’s Cafe Tasmania (Salmon Farm) for a vino and a salmon platter, both 15 min from us.
I must visit is Ashgrove Cheese and try their paired wine and cheese tastings, or endless cheese dishes 20 min from us (clearly I love wine and cheese!) but happy to give more recommendations as there are plenty. Read more...
