Cat lovers required for a 10 day house sit 😻

We live in a humble 50s weatherboard 2 bedroom house in the vibrant Northern suburbs of Hobart with a backyard with resident paddymellons and a great view.

We have a grey, somewhat reserved 10yo cat called 'Sweet'.
We also have a 4-year-old black cat called 'Scully'.
Scully is the most present house cat, she’s insecure and scared of the garbage truck. She’ll bond quickly with the human who brings food and is affectionate and likes a warm lap at night.
Sweet (the older cat) mostly lives outside and despises Scully (the upstart) but will come in a dinner time and will welcome a chin scratch if you’re in the back yard. The cats sometimes hiss at each other at meal times but don’t worry.

We would really appreciate a patient house sitter who will provide patience, reassurance and friendly company while we are away.
They are outdoors during the day and come in at night (via a cat door).

Both cats need love and 2 meals a day :-)

Our backyard veggie patch may need a water if it doesn’t rain.

Our house is modest but in a great location. We have wifi, TV (free to air and streaming (Netflix, Apple TV) Play station, books, instruments, games. We have a wood fire heater for ambience and warmth in the cooler months which pairs quite nicely with a local Pinot.

Our house can accommodate four. Two adults and 1-2 kids of the kids are willing to share a room. The main bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has a bunk bed and optional second sleeping space underneath with small mattress. These beds may be too small for a tall adult! Our house enjoys a vista over Moonah and is walking distance to local shops, cafes, multicultural delicacies, parks, playgrounds and the wonderful Moonah Arts Centre. 10 mins walk down the hill regular (now free) busses (every 15mins) going straight into Hobart.

The big loungeroom window catches the morning sun. The house is peaceful with a big back yard. Our house is on a culdisac. Great street with friendly neighbours. We’d love a house sitter who will stay somewhat in touch and send us a few cat updates during our trip. 🥰
