About this house sitting position in Mullett Creek

Hi,
We live at Mullett Creek, which is 50 kilometres north of Bundaberg. It is a 4 bedroom brick home on a quiet rural 5 acre property. 5 kilometres from the ocean., and the surf can be heard at night and on big surf days.

This sit is most suited to a couple with caravan or motorhome. Many of our house sitters in the past have had their own caravan or motorhome. There is ample parking and electricity and water. There is a very large lock up shed for undercover van and vehicle parking if required. The shed also has toilet and shower. The home has usual facilities.

We are looking for a Non Smoking couple, no children, no 4 legged pets, for approximately a month from 09 December 2026 to 16th January 2027

We have one sleepy 13 year old house cat who likes to be let out into the orchard twice a day, and a number of tumbler pigeons that like to be fed each afternoon. We let them out in the morning and close the hatch door at night for their protection.

No mowing will be required for that length of time at that time of year. We like the grass to thicken up at this time of year.

There is a second house on the property, currently unoccupied.

In reality, it is a very easy sit. However the cat ( Philip ) needs to be fed twice a day and the bird cages opened in the morning and closed at night to keep out predators. The birds only need a handful of seed at close up time. You will have lots of time to explore the local area from 1770 to Bundaberg, or just relax and do your own thing..

There is a Post Office, General Store and a Hotel within 25 km. north and south.

Bundaberg, 50 km away, has everything every big city has to offer. Aldi, Coles, K Mart, Woolworths, Big W, Target &.Bunnings etc.,

Reading Cinemas, 4 Sports & Service Clubs, numerous good eateries. The Moncrieff Theatre and The Playhouse, and everything in between. You can also do day trips to Lady Musgrave on the Great Barrier Reef. The bus will pick you up at the end of our road. 1770 is well worth a visit, and a “ Larc “ trip.
