About this house sitting position in Murrumbateman

We live in the lovely village of Murrumbateman in the Cool Climate wine region of the Yass Valley. You will have the use of a large home with pool and bbq. Ideally you will need to have experience looking after animals as we have 2 dogs, one is a maremma and the other a slothe, a very friendly cat, a horse that only needs feeding and lots of chickens. We we live in a private estate with neighbours all around, however you will need a car as it is a 6 km walk to the nearest shops and public transport to Canberra. Bonus is that you can cycle on the bike track to the wineries, enjoy lovely walks, fishing in the dam and visiting the murrumbateman markets held every second Saturday. Yass town is 16kms away and Canberra is 25kms. The village has a pharmacy, medical and dental services, mechanics, veterinary practice and the nearest hospital is in Yass.

“It was my good fortune to come across Jenny & Alex's request for a house sit in country Murrumbateman just after having a cancellation due to illness. It was a win, win for both parties and as it turned out, extra special from my perspective. Jenny & Alex are good solid people, very pleasant and welcoming to their awesome semi-rural property and mix of animals, including two amazing dogs that were a pleasure to look after. The house itself was extremely comfortable, with exceptional views of a lake and rolling hills on the door step. It was my good luck again that their myriad of roses were in full bloom; in short, it was an unexpected pleasure from start to finish and YES, I would certainly recommend house sitting for Jenny & Alex if the opportunity arises. ”
