We need our dog loved and cared for, and our home safe

Introduction

We are going away and looking for a trustworthy, dog-loving person or couple to mind our 9-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Kandos and look after our home. Kandos is a very affectionate dog, who likes a daily walk and lots of cuddles and love. Kandos is a small built dog (whose pedigree can be traced back to Canada) has been trained and is well-behaved.

Our Home & Location

Our 3-bedroom, 2 story town house has the master bedroom downstairs with onsuite along with lounge, dining, kitchen down stairs and up stairs 2 rooms with main bathroom. The small backyard is secured by fences.The garage is unable to store a car but there is a carport, cars can be parked on the driveway or street. Our home is in a quiet residential area with wonderful neighbours. Many ovals walking distance to the house.

We are 1 minute walk to the closest bus stop which takes 5 mins to get to Newport train station. From there its 25 min ride to the city on the train.

Many beaches to visit only 10 minute drive away.

Two local retail shopping strips, Newport or Altona and Williams Town, are within 6 to 10 minutes’ drive where you will find several cafes, restaurants, fresh produce, gifts and professional services.

Responsibilities & Pets

Our home and garden are low maintenance however Kandos requires attention in the form of feeding, weekly brushing, cuddles and walks. He is fed twice a day and need his water bowl filled up. Kandos will be your shadow when at home and loves to sleep on your feet while you watch TV. Other (not so fun) tasks would include keeping the house tidy, collecting any mail, putting out the bins and watering the garden as well as cleaning up after the dog out the back.
