About this house sitting position in North Richmond

We require sitters from Monday 21st December 2026 to Monday 25th January 2027 to enjoy the festive season with our fur babies.

About Our Home
We have a comfortable family home located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the scenic area of North Richmond. It's a 4 bed house with the use of 3 bedrooms for our sitters. A master bedroom with King bed and ensuite, second bedroom with a double bed and third bedroom with a bunk style king single bed. Lounge, kitchen-dining, main bathroom separate toilet and laundry room. We have camp stretchers and air mattresses if required (although space will be tight if those are used). Our property offers access to nearby amenities, including a pub, cafes, newsagents, a variety of takeaway food outlets, Coles, Aldi and IGA supermarkets, kids play areas and walking tracks. There is a council run park with sports oval and cricket nets, play area and fenced dog park at the end of the cul-de-sac - perfect for unwinding during your stay.
The house is private with a driveway, front lawn and outdoor al fresco at the back. It is a fantastic base for anyone looking to explore the beautiful Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains regions, or just enjoy a Christmas and New Year getaway in a welcoming community.
The added bonus of staying at our home over the festive season is that we have Christmas lights up as the whole street is famous for their lights and Christmas Eve is like a street party with people coming to look at the lights, usually a donut truck parks at the end due to the amount of people visiting and then there is a Santa run by the RFS and SES at the end of the road and Santa throws out lolly bags for the kids. Quite an experience!

The Pets & Their Routine
The true stars of our home are our beloved dog Gypsy (11 year old Dalmatian) and 2 cats, Pongo and Ziggy (1 year old) along with a few tropical fish, who will be your main companions. They thrive on company and routine, enjoying their daily meals, quiet time in the backyard, and plenty of affection.
Because we care deeply about their well-being, we are looking for sitters who genuinely love dogs and cats, are happy to keep up with their feeding schedules and walks, and will ensure they feel safe and loved while we are away.

Sitter Expectations & Responsibilities
Our main priority is the happiness and security of our pets and home. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Pet Care: Keeping Gypsy fed on time, ensuring she always has fresh water, and giving her company and at least one walk/run around the dog park once a day. Keeping Pongo and Ziggy fed on time and ensuring they also have fresh water and lots of cuddles. If you're at home during the day, the cats like to spend time outside but must always be inside overnight. If you're out during the day, Gypsy stays outside and the cats stay inside. The cats are cheeky and will jump up on the counter so don't leave food unattended! Gypsy on the other hand is very well behaved, although might give you her puppy dog eyes when you're eating dinner! The fish need minimal maintenance with just a pinch of food morning and evening.
Home Care: Maintaining a clean and tidy home, collecting the mail, and taking the bins out for collection on a Tuesday morning.
Security: Keeping doors locked when leaving the house, and keeping an eye on the property.
