About this house sitting position in North Rocks

Dates of the Holiday:

My family and I will be going overseas on Monday, 7 November (early morning) and will return to Sydney on Monday, 23 November (afternoon).

It’d be great if our house sitter starts on 6 November and stays overnight. They are also welcome to stay the night on 23 November.

About the Dogs:
We have two male rescue dogs: Blue (3 yo Frenchie) and Yoshi (8.5 yo Frenchie x Staffy).

About Blue:

Exercise: Active, energetic and loves his walks. He needs to be walked on a leash, as he gets fixated on other people and dogs and will start whining and barking [maybe include something else about his behaviour). His first impulse is to run towards them!

Play: he likes to play for about 15 minutes each morning and evening. I take him for a long walk once a day, but he will be fine with two short walks.

Medication: Nil

Diet: special diet. Blue has had issues with gallbladder stones in the past, but currently has no issues. He is on a low protein and low sodium diet. The vet has recently approved a small amount of chicken due to Blue being reluctant to eat the same kibble each day.

Blue is also allowed to eat apples, pumpkin and pears (which he enjoys), as well as rice and carrot (which he doesn't particularly like).

Anxiety and Temperament: Blue is kind and gentle.

He has separation anxiety. As much as possible, I take him to places that I visit. However, as this is not always possible, he is fine to stay home for up to 2 hours at a time.

Blue has a carseat, and he loves looking at other dogs when driving. He wants to socialise with them! It is best to have Blue restrained in the car seat.

Sleep: Blue is a snorer! At times, he can snore loudly. Blue is used to sleeping in the same bedroom as his human friends.

Open doors: Blue will bolt from the house if the front door is open.

About Yoshi
Yoshi is a very placid and docile dog. He can be walked without a leash. He gets along with Blue. Yoshi is not on any medication, but he can sometimes get itchy. If he does, he will need antifungal cream to be applied to his paws, belly, or any other itchy areas.

He is very attached to my daughter and may be somewhat withdrawn in her absence. However, he does enjoy Blue’s company and they both get along very well. Yoshi needs 2 scoops of kibble + 1 Dentastix in the morning; and ½ a pack of Lyka in the evening.
Yoshi does not take part in vigorous play but loves to sit and observe Blue.

About the house:
The house is a large, two-storey modern house. There is a well-appointed bedroom on the ground level with plenty of storage. There is also a full bathroom.
The home offers very large open plan living with modern appliances. It’s bright and airy. The home is on a quiet street. It overlooks the golf course. There is a circular driveway, which has enough room for two cars.
North Rocks Shopping centre is a five-minute drive. There is a bus interchange within a 10-minute walk. The buses offer fast access to the city. The backyard is large and secure. Parramatta is about 20 minutes by car. There are lovely multi-cuisine places close to the house.
Note- Blue and Yoshi are fine with another dog, but not a cat. Read more...
