About this house sitting position in ONE TREE HILL

Hi - my wife Robyn and I are away on a short (5day) getaway to Port Lincoln between Tuesday 12May 2026 and returning on Sunday the 17th May 2026. Sitters will need to spend the nights of Monday 11th May and Sunday the 17th May (total of 7 nights) at our house as we will be leaving early on the 12th and returning late on the 17th.

We have a lovely, large 4 bedroomed house on well kept established gardens on 3/4 acre at One Tree Hill township in the Adelaide Hills approx. 33 kms from Adelaide.

We have used house sitters about a 15 - 20 times previously and it was a terrific experience for the sitters and us too!!

Apart from minding the house and yard, we have chickens and our two dogs.

We currently have 3 chickens which require minimal attention as they have a self feeder / water / and automatic opening and closing door to their chicken coop at dawn and dusk - to save them from foxes.

We do have large gardens and lawn and during the summer months it requires a considerable amount of watering - majority of watering is by sprinklers and tap timers as well as some hand watering of indoor and outdoor potted plants. I would expect that in November that only minimal watering of pot plants will be needed.

We do have two dogs. A gentle, docile 12 year old, good natured, adorable female, long coat German Shepherd dog 'Charlea' and her new companion 'Frankie' which is currently a 7 month old Golden Retriever. Frankie will be 11 months old while we are away.
Unfortunately, this precludes any sitters with their own dogs / cats from applying.
