About this house sitting position in Opossum Bay

I am hoping there is an experienced house sitter and dog loving person or couple who might like to come and stay at my house in beautiful Opossum Bay, Tasmania for a week In April to look after my border collie (Nellie) and my poultry and garden while I am travelling interstate. This housesit may well suit people who are already in or travelling around Tasmania at the moment who would like a place not too far from Hobart to base themselves for a little while. The house is an elegant old farmhouse on 7 acres overlooking the Derwent River estuary and apart from my gentle, (if lively!) two year old dog, I have three chooks and a flock of geese to feed and water and a garden that needs a bit of water in these dry times. Opossum Bay is a lovely little coastal village 40 minutes drive south east of Hobart, it has good beaches and a shop and there is a good shopping centre 20 minutes drive away. The house has all the usual facilities. There is also space for parking a van if this is preferred.
My front verandah is a great spot to watch the boating activity on the river and the visiting birdlife.

Thanks Kris n Reg for the very thorough job you did of looking after the animals and enabling me to have a necessary break. Thanks also for being so adaptable when my life didn’t quite go to plan while you were here! It was great Reg that you were happy to trim the branches and stack my wood and the animals were very happy with their freshly filled water containers Kris. I am impressed by your easy manner and respectful/professional approach to the house sitting task. You get the balance between that and personable just right!
