About this house sitting position in Ormeau Hills

We live on 8.5 acres on the Northern end of the Gold Coast in a 4bedroom, 2.5 bathroom property with a pool and barbecue area

Removed from the hustle and bustle of city living, our property is peaceful but also conveniently located 10 minutes from shops, cafes and public transport

Our family:

We have a variety of animals on the property that require care and attention. They include some working dogs (security), indoor dogs, chickens, a snake, pony, donkey and goats

They all have different dietary requirements, but we have created a website and printed folder for the less tech savvy) that outlines all the details

Because of our dogs this sit is not suited to anyone with children or those who want to bring their own pets. They’re good dogs, but are protective of their property

We are going away for roughly a month in November 2025, but will also need someone for a few days (5ish) at the end of August/ beginning September when we go on a short honeymoon. Ideally we would need someone who is available for both dates so we can properly introduce you to the animals and ensure you have everything you need before we go on our longer trip

Our last sitter unfortunately ignored some very clear directions from us, which exposed our animals to a dangerous situation that could have been easily prevented. Our animals are really important to us and we cannot stress enough that whoever we invite to stay in our home needs to be able to follow our instructions for an enjoyable and drama free stay

There are lots of indoor plants around, so being watered at least once would also be helpful.
