About this house sitting position in Palmdale

Hello! My partner Jorja and I rent a beautiful cottage on an acreage property in Palmdale and are looking for someone to house sit and care for our dog Poppy for 2 weeks while we go overseas. We are ideally looking for someone mature who will be at home most of the time such as a remote worker or someone retired who wants to enjoy a peaceful retreat.

Poppy is a 12 year old border collie x labrador who is completely blind but is very clever and has adapted very well (sometimes it even feels like she can still see!) She is a very sweet girl and very well behaved (most of the time!) and is pretty low maintenance. She has learnt the layout of the house and garden and loves her morning routine which is why we are wanting someone to stay at the house with her to continue this. Poppy goes for a 20-30 minute walk each morning and sleeps on the sofa the rest of the day. We let her outside a few times throughout the day as we both work from home and then she gets fed dinner around 7:30pm. She is okay to be left alone for a few hours a day too while you explore the beautiful Central Coast!

The house itself is a 2 bedroom cottage on an acreage property and backs onto a rainforest. It feels like something out of a fairytale and very secluded yet you are only a 15 minute drive to Westfield Tuggerah and the restaurants/cinema, 30 minutes to multiple beaches and the lake and about 12 minutes to the train station. We are also a very easy drive off the M1. Please note the house has stairs and both bedrooms are upstairs. We have a spare bedroom for you to use and there is a home office setup if you work remotely. We also have a home gym, good wifi and access to streaming sites.

The lovely owners live in the main house on the property as well but you are still very private and separate from them. We will give you their number in case there is an issue with anything and you can't reach us.
