About this house sitting position in Penrith

My partner (34F) and I (35M) live in a granny flat at the back of a larger property, shared with our in laws (partners sister, her husband and their three kids).

We are looking for someone to live in our small property to take care of our two cats and provide them with company. Whilst we can get our relatives to look after them, they would be much more comfortable with people living with them.

The location is at the foot of the blue mountains in Penrith where there is plenty of walking and hiking oppertunities, and is also 5 mins away from the Nepean river. The train station is 20 mins walk away which gets you to Sydney in an hour. Parking is available at our property.

The granny flat we live in is small and simple to look after. It has a living area/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. There is also an office available for anyone who wishes to work from home. Everything in our home is available for use.

Basil and Daisy are brother and sister Ragdoll cats, and are 2.5 years old. They are happy, affectionate & charming individuals who are adaptable and don’t take long to get used to new people. We have previously used cattery’s for them but we have not been wholly impressed, and we think they would be best in their own home. They are our world and we would love to find them a some calm house sitters to take care of them. Pictures of them attached.

We generally feed them three times a day, morning, evening and nightime before bed.

For further information, Daisy is on anxiety medication as she has previously had issues licking off her fur (some of the pictures show her less fluffy than her usual self). The medication is 1/8th of a tablet hidden within her food and she eats it no problems. Whoever looks after them would need to be okay with doing this once per day.

We would provide you with all of their food to last for the entire stay, as well as Daisy’s medication.

We are going on a trip to Canada so we are looking for someone to look after them between 24 June 2026 to 22 July 2026.
