About this house sitting position in Petersham
Yay...we're off to Melb & Launceston for Xmas !
With a spare bedroom and a spare bathroom there is plenty of comfortable space for the sitter to stay in...and they can relax in our swim spa!
Our oldest dog is a male de-sexed American staffie (9 yrs), loves other pets when we are at the park but not sure how he'd behave with another dog inside HIS house. I don't let him off at the park as he plays roughly (like all staffies do) and I don't want him to inadvertently injure smaller dogs. He only needs about a 30 min walk in the morning but would love a 2nd one in the cool of the evening but not essential. My 2nd dog (also a de-sexed male Staffie/cross red cattle - 5 yrs old now) has working dog in him and will not run away....he knows his name and can walk off lead in a park so long as the older dog stays on lead.....and you are happy to throw a tennis ball for him...repeatedly!
Plus we have a teeny, tiny Quaker parrot who is a seed eater and will be OK to remain in his cage and just get food + water top ups daily til we get back! She can be a bit bitey! Although if you’re experienced with birds she’d love some out-of-cage time. Will happily sit on your shoulder & hang out with you inside the house (only) … loves to eat what ever you are eating too! Her beak is so small so not too dangerous!
We have a mini oasis at the back of the house; perfect for sitting reading; drinking coffee and enjoying some down time. We are 5 train stops from the Sydney CBD and there are train, bus and tram stops in walking distance (plus about 7 pubs and numerous restaurants) so easy to get around. We are in the Portuguese capital of Sydney so you may enjoy starting each day with coffee and a Portuguese egg tart that is to die for!
You are welcome to come on a weekend or after hrs during the wk for a meet and greet at a time that's mutually convenient in advance to see if you think you'll be able to walk my two! Plus if you need accom a few days before we go and/or a few days after we get back, that is fine too!
At that time of the year, the plants will need a drink … depending on the heat maybe every other day … ideally you’ll water everything while you’re staying too unless it rains! Read more...

Awww … thank you both so much! This delightful young couple looked after my house, car, spa, neighbours as if it was their own. My dogs were delighted to see me but after 4 mins, were back cuddling with the sitters!
