Our home is located in the suburb of Point Vernon in Hervey Bay QLD. Beautiful Gatakers Bay is at the end of the street (250m) , a boat ramp is about 500 metres away and parks and a walking/cycling path runs for 15km to the far end of Hervey Bay. We live in a quiet residential area with shopping centres, restaurants, cafes and clubs readily available within a 10 minute drive.
The main tasks for this housesit are maintaining our lawns and gardens and providing food (supplied by us) and water for the local birdlife daily. We have no pets. Regular watering of the garden and our extensive collection of potplants; weeding, mowing and whipper-snipping the grass and generally keeping the yard neat and tidy; topping up small ponds; maintaining a large bird bath and feeding wild birds are required, so a love of gardening is essential. Lot size is a little under 1000sqm.

We offer accommodation in a detached one-bedroom 49sqm cottage adjacent to our home. The fully insulated cottage comprises a lounge area with lounge, tv, DVD and wifi; kitchen/dining with a cooktop, microwave, small two door fridge and all utensils; a large bedroom with queen bed and robe and a modern bathroom with large shower. All rooms have ceiling fans. There is no oven in the cottage however a Weber bbq is situated on the large undercover deck with ample seating. The laundry is separate with a modern washer and separate dryer for the occasional wet days. There is room to park two vehicles, in the open, up to 6.5m in length.

This sit is suitable for a couple or a single person who enjoys gardening and yard work.
